This week Nadine, Anna, Maureen, Maggy, Adele, Jan, Jennifer, and Walther came out to work in the gardens. Thank you for all your help, good conversation, and laughs (we have lots).

This week garden volunteers cleaned areas that are often left until last on the list. Maureen, Adele, Maggy, and Anna cleaned the courtyard preparing it for some new soil and hopefully more plants. Maureen and Adele also cleaned the area around the statue in the former cemetery area. Jan deadheaded in the courtyard and made our fantastic floral bouquets. Nadine worked on deadheading and cleaning the bed across from the garage. Anna also did a wonderful job cleaning behind the Summerhouse and the garden bed on both sides of it. Walther and Jennifer worked weeding and watering the vegetable gardens as well as planning what to plant next into the areas we have left. Maggy also came along to do weeding in the veggie bed behind the garage and cleaned the path behind the Bay tree bed. Several of the volunteers weeded the Novitiate Garden where Jennifer planted Portulaca by the box hedge leading to the Summerhouse and Penny Black Nemophila in the round Cherry tree bed.
